Trappist beers are unique in the world of brewing as they are exclusively produced by Trappist monks in one of their 10 active breweries around the World; 6 in Belgium, 2 in the Netherlands, 1 in Austria, and 1 in the United States. To help protect the authentic Trappist name, the International Trappist Association (ITA) was founded in 1997. An official logo was created to be attached to any goods produced by a Trappist Monastery (wine, cheese, beer, etc.) and represents the production criteria and quality levels of the products.
This week we will be trying nine beers from 7 of the 10 active Trappist breweries currently in production, showing a wide variety of styles ranging from lighter farmhouse and Saison beers to the richer Dubbels and Quadrupels. This is a rare opportunity to try so many of these exquisite Trappist beers side by side so come down to Beltramo’s this Friday and maybe we can convert you to the Trappist order!
Taste all nine of these great Trappist beers for $10 this Friday May 16th from 4:30-6:30pm.
